Lloyd Davies

Composer of our brand new score for Hypocrites (1915)

Like many musicians, Lloyd was an oddball at secondary school, never really fitting in. It wasn’t until he picked up the guitar that he found his place amongst his fellow musicians. He quickly discovered that he had an aptitude and an ear for music which he credits to a long bloodline of artists and musicians in the family tree, especially his grandfather who had a number one single back in the 50s.

He decided that, after a few attempts at having a normal job,  it was time to stop fighting it and learn the music trade. He enrolled at Peterborough College in a music performance course. Lloyd then founded a local Indie band called Whisky Jaxx that went on to have some local success. He later joined with Kissmet, a Bhangra-rock outfit that he performed with around the world for several years.

Lloyd went on to start his degree in Music Production at Leeds Metropolitan University. Whilst there, he excelled amongst his peers, receiving high praise from his lecturers on the quality of his writing and production. It was here that Lloyd discovered his passion for film music and decided to major in Music for Film and TV.

As of today, he has performed over 300 times as a professional guitarist across the world, written and produced countless pieces of music (ranging from classical, through to jazz, pop, soul, electro and beyond), been involved with writing music for animated educational videos, created stock music for online sale, and developed himself as a musical branding specialist and taken on several projects for SME’s. Lloyd has also begun developing an online music platform for musicians to promote themselves and sell their music called Boommboxx, which he is hoping to launch in early 2021.
